As you know, someone released a English translation mod yesterday. Personally, I don't recommend to use it; as Warship Girls Wiki, we can't encourage/recommend anyone to use something that violates EULA.
Here are some concerns:
1. According to the EULA of this game, you cannot edit or modify anything in the game. MF has reason to ban your account.
2. Releaser of this mod also posted a screenshot of customer service's response of this subject, which is:
"At this particularly point, it is fine."
However, I believe this reply cannot be fully trusted, reasons are:
- Customer service replied this question at Xmas, now we're talking about lunar new year.
- Customer service might do ask their overlord properly.
- Developers have not response about this subject yet. That screenshot/reply is the ONLY consent from MF.
Remember, EULA is there, MF has reason to take any action.
3. We don't know what is edited and modified, I am not libelling anyone, it is very easy to steal your account if someone wants to. It is always dangerous to use not official resources. Also, if MF detects something that the modder is not supposed to edit/modify, you may be screwed because of using it.
In conclusion, the safety and appropriateness of editing the actual package should be discussed. Because of this mod, MF may apply a system like VAC, or encrypt everything in a better way. If that happens, we are not going to be able to know what is coming by unencrypting the package. It is not going to be worth.
As always, option is there, but PLEASE think about those issues this article just mentioned.
